    Wireless Cart Information

    Student Information

    1. Students will use their assigned laptop, username and password.
    2. Students will inspect the computer and report any damage (crack screen, missing keys, cracked casing).
    3. Students will follow classroom procedures for obtaining their cart from the cart.
    4. Students will carry laptop with two hands to and from cart.
    5. Students will ensure that the laptop is placed on the desk securely.
    6. Students will save their work to their H: drive.
    7. Students will carry the laptop by the base with the monitor closed.
    8. Students will shut down the computer when they are finished using the machine.
    9. Students will place the machines in the cart so that the AC Power Adapter is facing the middle of the cart.
    10. Students will make sure that the cords are not hanging out of the cart.
       Teacher Information
    1. Wireless Cart 4 = 8th Grade; Wireless Cart 3 = 7th grade; Wireless Cart 2 = 6th
    2. Carts will be rotated to teams on a weekly basis.  Any swapping of days is up to the teams on the hall.
    3. Wireless Carts are for Instructional purposes.
    4. Teachers will assign students a laptop to use each time.
    5. Students will only use their assigned laptop.
    6. Students will be trained on proper handling and uses of laptops by their Teacher/Tech Facilitator.  {Training slide show is located on the Githens S Drive}
    7. Teachers will ensure that all machines have been return to the cart before a class leaves.
    8. Teachers will ensure that there are no power cords in the doors when the doors are closed.
    9. Teachers will ensure that the cart is locked and that the keys are secure when the cart is not in use.
    10. Teachers will make sure the wireless cart is plugged into an electrical outlet before leaving for the day.

    Trouble Shooting

    1. Please do not send a student to the Media Center with a laptop for repair - there are no laptops for loan.
    2. Restart the machine and try again.
    3. If the problem persist, email the Technology Facilitator to report a problem.
    4. The Technology Facilitator will come to the classroom to do initial trouble shooting.
    5. If needed, the machine will be removed from the classroom to be repaired.
